this beautiful woven silk has travelled with me from Delhi and kept me busy in Rajasthan, Goa, London and Chester. It’s like a silk colour chart, incredible tones and textures. Sadly couldn’t sew on the plane though due to scissor and needle prohibition!

caboodle!

I made these zipped caboodle bags to fit a nappy, pack of wipes and change of clothes. Saves the changing bag rummage!

flycatcher

I have learnt what a spotted flycatcher is! The power of google… I was asked to make this cushion for a joint 70th birthday, with this bird, poppies and cornflowers. Enjoyed using silk paints as well as embroidery and I think it’s a stunning effect. The first picture shows the silk colour better!

was privileged to be asked to make a silk wedding ring cushion for one of my oldest friends. When it was expertly carried down the aisle by her lovely nephew it was one of Cushy Life’s proudest moments!
